Nicki Minaj may have found her 'new calling' on 'Saturday Night Live'

As she's rocketed to stardom over the past several years, rapper Nicki Minaj has worn many hats. And wigs. And outfits. As she's rocketed to stardom over the past several years, rapper Nicki Minaj has worn many hats. And wigs. And outfits. So it's no wonder she had such a great time when she visited "Saturday Night Live" Dec. 6 and impersonated both Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian.

"I had so much fun," she said during a visit to TODAY Tuesday. "I really, really enjoyed doing Beyoncé because I didn't know that I could actually get that tone of voice until I tried it, and then I was in love with it."

Queen Bey hasn't commented on the performance, but Minaj had a birthday shortly after her "SNL" appearance, and got some good wishes from the singer. "So I figured she wasn't upset, and I did her justice," Minaj concluded.

Interestingly, for her new album "The Pinkprint," Minaj is going for a more stripped-down look. She performed "Bed of Lies" with Skylar Grey on TODAY.

"This is a more vulnerable me, and to write vulnerable records is very scary," she said. "You're putting out a lot of personal information just to the world, and you don't always know how people are going to receive it. And once you've given it to them, you can't take it back."

In a way, it's yet another guise for the chart-topping singer, who might be mulling a change in career down the road, thanks to that "SNL" appearance.

"People seemed to like it," she grinned. "So maybe that's my new calling."
