Following a gangbusters Kickstarter campaign that reached its $1 million goal in less than 12 hours, the award-winning "Reading Rainbow" children's show will soon be back on the Internet, with host LeVar Burton reaching more kids with the magic of literacy.

That theme song that opened the Peabody-award winning "Reading Rainbow" from 1983 to 2006 is back, too, via a Funny or Die exclusive. In this updated version, books bestow upon the reader, as portrayed by Burton, a power that "no man should have."

Hilarity ensues ... but does nothing to alleviate the tune still burrowing in your brain like the Ceti eel used to gain the cooperation of Cmdr. Pavel Chekov in "Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan."

That earworm won't be exiting anytime soon, either. The "Reading Rainbow" Kickstarter has passed the $3 million mark, and there's still 27 more days to go.

But good news for fans of Burton's character, Lt. Cmdr. Geordi La Forge on "Star Trek: The Next Generation." The $10,000 donation premium, which includes a chance to try on wearing La Forge's visor, is still available!
