Battles between good and evil. Epic fights. Worlds unlike our own. Yes, "Star Wars" and "Game of Thrones" may be very different from each other (movies vs. books/TV series, for starters), but they're also similar for the examples listed. Now, the two universes have been joined -- with the introduction of lightsabers to Westeros.
Remember in season one when Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) learned that his brother, Tyrion (Peter Dinklage), had been captured by Ned Stark's (Sean Bean) wife? He was rather displeased and whipped out his sword to show Lord Ned he meant business. In an altered clip of the fight scene between the two men, it's not steel the men wield, but yep ... lightsabers.

Judging by the "Star Wars" color scheme for the futuristic weapons, it's obvious Jaime's the big baddie. But Ned? Curious that he doesn't have the usual blue or green associated with good, but instead handles a purple lightsaber -- a color only Mace Windu has wielded in the films.
