It's one thing to call yourself "The Greatest." But what other people have to say about you is just as — if not more — illuminating.

Muhammad Ali's daughter Hana Ali wrote a powerful Instagram post to honor her dad, who passed away on Friday at age 74.

"Our father was a 'Humble Mountain!'" she captioned a photo of the two of them. "And now he has gone home to God. Pray for the peace of his beautiful soul and for the happiness of his further journey. God bless you daddy. YOU ARE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!"

Hana Ali also shared a touching photo of her father, showing a sweet moment when she was a little girl.

And, later, a typed recollection of what is was like to watch him pass.

"We all tried to stay strong and whispered in his ear, 'You can go now. We will be okay. We love love [sic],'" she wrote.

"All of his organs failed, but his heart wouldn't stop beating. For 30 minutes...his heart just kept beating. No one had ever seen anything like it."

On Friday, his other daughter Laila Ali thanked fans for their love and support. She shared this photo of her father with her daughter, Sydney.

Ali died after spending several days in a Phoenix-area hospital, being treated for respiratory complications. He had suffered for three decades from Parkinson's, a progressive neurological condition that slowly robbed him of both his verbal grace and his physical dexterity. A funeral service is planned in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky.
