Minnie Driver is heading to Neverland. The "About a Boy" star will serve as the narrator and play adult Wendy Darling in NBC's upcoming "Peter Pan Live!" musical special. 

"We're thrilled to have Minnie as part of this Peter Pan adventure," Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. "She appears in the final emotional scene when Peter returns to the Darling home years later only to realize Wendy is now grown up and has a daughter of her own, but you'll also hear her voice throughout the movie since Adult Wendy is also our narrator. She's a classy addition to our wonderful cast."

Driver's other credits include "Return to Zero", "The Riches" and Good "Will Hunting." She joins Allison Williams as Peter Pan, Christopher Walken as Captain Hook, Christina Borle as Smee and Mr. Darling, Kelli O'Hara as Mrs. Darling, Taylor Louderman as young Wendy and Alanna Saunders as Tiger Lily.

NBC will air a special on Wednesday, Nov. 26 titled "The Making of Peter Pan Live!" The new hour long telecast will go behind the scenes for a look inside the musical event, including casting, dress rehearsals, costume creation and more.

Neil Meron and Craig Zadan, the executive producers of NBC's "The Sound of Music Live!" and the musical series Smash are behind the Peter Pan musical on the Peacock Network. 

"Peter Pan Live!" airs Thursday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. on NBC.
