You may have noticed that the finalists for the Tenth Annual Jif Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich contest are freakishly short. OK, they're children.
The sandwiches, made by five mini-chefs, who ranged in age from seven to eleven, ranged in wackiness from a peanut-butter enhanced turkey burger to what might be called a PB&AEHSC (that's peanut butter, avocado, egg, cinnamon and hot sauce). The winner, to be selected soon by Jif, will nab a $25,000 college scholarship. (And maybe some hand wipes.)
Guest fourth hour co-host Randy Travis seemed a liiiiiiittle reluctant to dig in… possibly because the idea of kid-created recipes evokes memories of the nightmarish things we microwaved when we were children. What's the weirdest thing you cooked up in your youth? It's okay if "your youth" means last week, at four AM.
