Michael Jackson's brother: Paris has been in hospital 'much toolong'
It's been two and a half months since the daughter of late pop icon Michael Jackson was hospitalized following a reported suicide attempt, and 15-year-old Paris Jackson currently remains in an undisclosed facility.
But now it seems not everyone in the Jackson clan is in agreement about just how her treatment should proceed.
Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, and nephew, T.J. Jackson, serve as guardians for all three of his children, but it was his brother, Randy Jackson, who took to Twitter on Monday night to express his doubts about the teen's care.
According to The Jacksons singer, she's been in that facility, which he characterizes as a "psychiatric hospital," for "much too long."
In the series of tweets, Jackson claimed that his niece is likely to remain in care through her father's birthday (Aug. 29), a situation which obviously concerns him.
He assured his Twitter followers that he would "look into this."
Shortly after the teen was hospitalized, Kevin Boyle, a lawyer for Katherine Jackson, released a statement about the situation.
"Being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are," the statement read. "It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you. Paris is physically fine and is getting appropriate medical attention."
