After telling viewers on Wednesday that PSY's "Gangnam Style" became the first YouTube video to get 2 billion views, the audience tried to convince him to show off his "Gangnam" moves.
"No! Shut up! Don't do this to me!" Fallon yelled as the crowd cheered him on. "I'm not going to do the dance."
Enter TODAY's Matt Lauer. "Hey, Fallon. Enough. Stop beating around the bush, listen to your audience," the morning-show anchor chided. "Now I gotta get up early for the TODAY show, so cut the $#&!*#@&% and do the 'Gangman Style' dance."
Lauer then held a boombox above his head — John Cusack style — as "Gangnam Style" started to play. "Do the dance and mean it!"
It turns out that the pressure from his fellow NBC cohort was all Fallon needed to bust out his moves, though not with as much enthusiasm as fans are used to seeing from the late-night host.
Lauer noticed the less than impressive performance too, and called him out on it. "Whoa. That was lame," the TODAY anchor admitted with disappointment before walking out of the studio.

"His 'Gangnam' was better than yours!" Natalie Morales teased Lauer on TODAY Thursday.
"It was much better," Lauer conceded.
"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" airs weeknights at 11:35 on NBC.
