On Saturday night, a moment that's been a year in the making came to fruition: "Law & Order: SVU" star Mariska Hargitay met Taylor Swift's cat Olivia Benson.
It was a magical moment, primarily because Olivia Benson isn't just an unusual name for a cat — it's the name of the character Hargitay has played on the long-running NBC show since 1999.
Naturally, the purrfect meetup was captured on camera, complete with Swift narrating the exchange and posting it on Instagram.
"This is Olivia Benson meeting Olivia Benson," whispers Swift. "Things are going well so far."

The friendship between Harigtay and Swift has been growing for a while now. The TV actress noted in May that she and the pop star had originally met at the Met Gala, then ran into each other at a concert. Hargitay next had a brief cameo in Swift's music video, "Bad Blood."
This time, Hargitay was in Philadelphia for Swift's show, and even came out on stage during "Style." The historic Olivia/Olivia meeting happened backstage.
