Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas' is no longer most-played Christmas song

There's another Christmas track that will get more play this holiday season.

Christmas is almost here, and that means it's time to make gingerbread houses, put presents under the tree and hear Mariah Carey's classic holiday hit, "All I Want for Christmas is You," play again and again — and again.

But maybe not quite as many times as we've heard it in years past.

According to the folks at PlayNetwork, who compile the seasonal playlists for hundreds of retailers, there's another song-of-the-season that's pushed Carey's 1994 carol from its top spot.

The new leader? The Shins' cover of Paul McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime" will be the holiday track we hear most often while we're out and about this season.
