The red-hot country singer knows exactly what his fans want, and he made sure to bring it all home to kick off the weekend in grand style — despite the threat of rain in New York City.

His fans also were not to be deterred:

Bryan even spent time taking a few selfies with fans:

And check out his set list for the morning:

Bryan has long been one of Nashville's most versatile artists, tackling everything from heartbreaking ballads to rocking stadium anthems.

His most recent album, "Kill All the Lights," was the best-selling country record of 2015.

But no matter how much touring or recording he does, he always stays enthusiastic. "When I step onstage I am energized by the energy of the crowd," he told TODAY.

"If I'm not out there having fun then ... I'm not going to be in this business any more," he added. "I try to really relish the fact that this is my dream come true."

Later, he sat down inside the studio and took a quiz all about country singers and their snug trousers. Fans had been pointing out Bryan's own concert-wear all morning:

So we suspected he'd do quite well recognizing his peers in their own tight jeans. And he did not disappoint. "Country music has done skinny jeans for a while," he noted, while easily recognizing stars like Jason Aldean and Brad Paisley.

"I'm actually uncomfortable that I knew all those," he quipped.

He also made sure to spend some time with TODAY's own Hoda Kotb and Al Roker.
