‘Lost’ star spills his take on the show’s mystery

Loose lips sink ships — or shows, as the case may be. That’s why the “Lost” powers that be pulled the virtual plug on Jorge “Hurley” Garcia posting about the hit drama to his blog, reports New York Daily News.

“I started a blog at one point, and it kind of scared some people (from the show),” Jorge told the paper. "Anything that I'd write, they knew that people would read into it and try to figure out what it meant, so then I ended up just blogging about random things.”

Good choice, given the big guy’s gift for island gab. Jorge even offered the Daily News his preferred theory behind the “Lost” mystery. “I've been stuck on the one where people say that we were all cloned and that the show is about our clones,” he explained. “They say that the plane landed safely, but we were all cloned in the air and that's why Jack's dad walks around, too, because he was cloned in the cargo area.”

Not much of an insider reveal, but Jorge did give a dash of hope to fans concerned about this season’s eight-episode run, which premieres Thursday night. "If (the strike) ends soon, there's still time to go back and finish our season, but there's also a point of no return.”

Tough times for Lynne and Britney Though Lynne Spears is back on speaking terms with her pop-star offspring, she’s facing disappointment at every turn. Some reports claim she arrived in Los Angeles hoping to stage an intervention for Britney, while others simply state, regardless of the reason behind her visit, it isn’t going well.

“Britney's mom was crying so much inside the house,” a family insider told E! Online after Lynne’s first night at Brit’s Beverly Hills home. “She is so hurt and just wants Britney to get better already… Lynne was just trying to get (Britney) to admit herself somewhere," said the family insider.

The next day, Lynne, along with the ever-present Sam Lutfi, accompanied Britney to a Mercedes-Benz dealership, but even there, Lynne was unable to get through to her troubled daughter, reports People.

“Lynne and Britney were arguing in the car the whole time,” an onlooker told the magazine. “They're both upset and arguing, not having a good time at all.”

Shortly after leaving the dealership, “(Britney) pulled over to the side of the road to argue with her mom more," the witness revealed.

“Lynne, at one point said, 'I just want to give her a hug. I'm very worried,’" another source informed People. “Lynne was so nervous and worried, she just kept asking how they could get her daughter back home.”

Not-so-fresh Matthew McConaughey While Matthew McConaughey’s two-time co-star Kate Hudson is a fan of his work, she’s no fan of his long-standing deodorant-free policy

“She always brings a salt rock, which is some natural deodorant, and says, ‘Would you please put this on?’” Matthew said in a quote on ContactMusic. “I just never wore it. No cologne, no deodorant.”

In the past, Matthew defended his stinky stance. “The women in my life, including my mother, have all said, ‘Hey, your natural smell smells, one, like a man and, two, smells like you.’” Nicely couched comments, ladies.

Dish on the fly Bart Simpson, or at least the voice behind him, supports Scientology in a big way. According to Page Six, Nancy Cartwright, the actress who gives Bart his sass on “The Simpsons,” donated $10 million to the church. That’s said to be twice as much as Scientology superstar Tom Cruise gave. … Pity poor Eva Longoria. In an interview on the U.K. talk show “Richard and Judy,” the “Over Her Dead Body” star claims she was the “ugly duckling” in her family. “I grew up without being beautiful so I kind of relied on my personality and my character,” she said in a quote excerpted in the Daily Mail. “I kind of developed a skill not to depend on anything superficial because I didn't have anything superficial to depend on.” Of course, her teen cheerleading pics paint a different picture. … Landing a role as a leading lady in a James Bond flick comes with a certain distinction, but Denise Richards is in a class by herself. Entertainment Weekly ranked the actress as the worst Bond babe ever for her 1999 role as hot-pants-wearing nuclear physicist Dr. Christmas Jones in “The World Is Not Enough.”
