"Once Upon a Time" is about to get big ... really big. The ABC fairy-tale drama has cast "Lost" alum Jorge Garcia, The Clicker has confirmed. The network tells us that the actor will be playing a character called "The Giant" in one upcoming episode.
No other details were immediately available, but could it be that Garcia will play the giant made famous in the tale "Jack and the Beanstalk"? After all, the show has already hinted at the story in season one, when Rumplestiltskin's son, Baelfire, used a magic bean (obtained from The Blue Fairy) to escape to a magic-free world in the hopes of starting a new life with his father.
Garcia will have at least one familiar face on set. Fellow "Lost" alum Emilie de Ravin went from guest star to series regular during the offseason. She plays Belle from "Beauty and the Beast," but on "Once" the beast is also none other than Robert Carlyle's Rumplestiltskin. Perhaps the former co-stars will have some scenes together?
Season two of "Once Upon a Time" premieres Sunday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
