Lindsay Lohan has an interesting approach to rehabilition. With one month to go before her court-mandated rehab stay, the actress booked a "promotional trip" to South America. What does that mean, you ask? It means she was paid $100,000 to go to lots of parties, in order to publicize the launch of a Sao Paulo jeans store. Nightclubs, of course, are the last place Lindsay should be right now. And yet, she's making a handsome paycheck by defying the judge's wishes. It's Lilo's whole problem in a nutshell: the more trouble she gets into , the more attention she gets, and the more attention she gets, the more valuable she becomes.
Maybe this is why Lohan seems to have fallen back on her bad behaviors, even as her rehab sentence looms. Let's take a look at all the trouble she's allegedly gotten herself into since making that plea deal.
1. Drinking: Last week. Lohan denied a report that she was drinking vodka (served in a carafe, so as to look like water) the night of her court hearing. On her weekend press tour, she was either sticking to water or chugging back vodka—depending on which reports you read. Among those who claim she's been imbibing are the editor of a local fashion site ("She did not drink anything but vodka," he reported in Spanish), and Lindsay's father Michael Lohan, who has said that "the way she looks down there from the pictures in the media, it's not a good thing."
2. Stealing: While shooting a guest appearance on Charlie Sheen's comedy Anger Management, Lohan reportedly "borrowed" an entire outfit, including jewelry and shoes, from the wardrobe department. According to TMZ, she told friends she had paid for the stuff—but producers of the FX show have yet to see any money.
3. Diva behavior: Speaking of that Anger Management gig, Lindsay was reportedly up to her old tricks on set. "She was a colossal pain in the a--," a source told E! on Thursday. "The first day was fine...(but) from the moment she arrived yesterday she did nothing but hold up the production. She would sit in her trailer and stall and she delayed until she up and left for her boyfriend's concert. She held everyone hostage." A TMZ source claims that the crew was so aggravated with Lindsay, they burst into applause when she left. (At least she was funny while playing herself—check out some bloopers!)
Now that her Brazilian jaunt is over, Lohan is scheduled to make an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman, and says she plans to start recording a new album. We'll see if she manages to avoid two of her other usual bad habits: skipping out on interviews, and dropping new projects as soon as they get tough.
