Kathie Lee's new Broadway show "Scandalous" premiered over the weekend, much to Hoda's delight. Not because she was happy for KLG – but mostly because she wanted her best pal and drinking buddy back already.
In a very special segment, viewers got a special behind-the-scenes look at Hoda's troubling time without her best friend. With Kathie Lee hard at work on her musical, Hoda went in search of a way to fill the void.
She tried everything, from joining a quilting group to inviting some dog friends over. She even went to famed New York drag bar Lucky Cheng's and hung out with the female impersonators, including a "bearded Kathie Lee."
But alas, there's no substitute for the real thing. Check out the adorable video, and learn a lesson in true friendship.
