During a visit to the “Late Show With David Letterman,” Jake Gyllenhaal plugged his upcoming film “Love and Other Drugs.” Letterman, who’d recently watched a preview, was only interested in one aspect of the sexy romcom — nudity.

After expressing his satisfaction upon seeing Anne Hathaway’s nude form on the big screen, Letterman pointed out his disappointment when he realized he’d be watching just as many nude scenes with Gyllenhaal.

“What you don’t think of is that we’re going to see you (naked),” the host said. “You know, that didn’t occur to me.”

Gyllenhaal was quick to clear up any confusion.

“The funny part about that situation is that usually, when people have sex … both people have to take their clothes off, David,” Gyllenhaal explained.

“I know, but for some reason, I didn’t see that coming,” Letterman replied. “All I could see is, ‘Oh my God! Look, she’s naked.”

“(For) 60 percent of the movie, we don’t have our clothes on,” the actor added. “Or according to you, only she doesn’t have her clothes on.”

Gyllenhaal, along with his “Love and Other Drugs” co-star, stopped by the TODAY show Thursday morning for more talk about those show-all scenes.
