On the second anniversary of actor Cory Monteith's death, his "Glee" cast mate Lea Michele honored his memory Monday with tributes on social media.

"Today we remember the laughter and joy you brought into our lives every day," she tweeted, with her text accompanying a photo of Monteith driving and smiling in silhouette. "We think of you always and love you so."

She expressed similar sentiments on her Facebook page and her Instagram account, adding, "I know you would want us all laughing and smiling today."

Michele and Monteith met on the "Glee" set and began dating in 2011. They were still a couple when he died from a drug overdose in 2013.

The Twitter hashtag #2YearsWithoutCory trended nationwide and worldwide Monday, when many fans reciprocated their love for Monteith, who once tweeted, "Cory <3's you."
