Michele posted the same message and photo of herself, grinning alongside Monteith at the beach, on her official Instagram account.

While other "Glee" cast members have spoken out about Monteith's death, Michele had remained silent. However, according to show co-creator Ryan Murphy, she is ready to return to work to begin shooting the fifth season of the show.

"Lea is obviously very grief-stricken but she’s also one of the strongest people I know," he recently told TVLine. "She wants people to be better and get back to work. So that’s what we’re going to do. She wants to be with people. The ('Glee') family is her family. She wants to be with the cast and the crew."

On Thursday, Murphy and Michele organized a private memorial event for Monteith.

"Ryan Murphy and Lea Michele gathered the cast, crew and producers of 'Glee,' along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith," Fox said in a statement shared with TODAY.com. "We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time."
