Still mourning the demise of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent"? Here's a consolation prize: Kathryn Erbe, who played Det. Alexandra Eames for 10 seasons, is heading to "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" this fall.
Executive producer Warren Leight says that the actress will be reprising her "CI" role, and Eames will be working for a City/Federal Homeland Security Task Force. She'll come into the picture as the SVU squad learns that the sex trafficking ring they're investigating has ties to terrorists.
There's no air date for the episode yet.
Other guest stars NBC has already announced for the upcoming season include Adam Baldwin, Roger Bart and Anna Chlumsky.
Season 14 of "SVU" kicks off with back-to-back episodes on Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. on NBC.
