Kristin Chenoweth and TODAY's Savannah Guthrie had a head-banging, hilarious time on the show Wednesday — and that was even before the Broadway star started to sing!

Chenoweth was visiting to talk about her new live album "Coming Home" and upcoming PBS concert, and Guthrie was scurrying across the studio to get to her so they could chat, but the host had to duck under a camera and whacked her head along the way.

"I need to know how you are!" Chenoweth, who is 4-feet 11-inches, asked immediately. "I thought, 'What's it like to bump your head on anything?'"

"Well-played, my friend, well-played," grinned Guthrie (who is doing just fine) as she gave Chenoweth a high-five.
