Kourtney Kardashian reveals her baby’s father

The former star of reality TV series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” revealed the identity of the father of her unborn child Thursday: her ex-fiance, Scott Disick. The two had split up earlier this year when Kardashian suspected him of infidelity.

Kourtney Kardashian has been living out her life in front of the camera for two years now on the TV reality series “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” so she barely took a breath before announcing live on TODAY Thursday that she is pregnant — and she named the poppa as well, despite admonitions from Kathie Lee Gifford not to let the cat out of the bag.

Kourtney, 30, her bombshell, pin-up sister Kim, and little sister Khloe have put the “fun” in dysfunctional on their E! reality series — and become household names in the process.  Kourtney had hoped to spring her expectant news on the public during the debut of the family’s latest reality series, “Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami.” But the hoopla surrounding the family made for some loose lips in the Kardashian camp and the word leaked out.

Mama said not to say
When TODAY’s Hoda Kotb innocently asked Kourtney if she was keeping the identity of the father under wraps, she replied, “I’ll say if you want me to!”

Gifford, a longtime friend of the Kardashian gals’ mom Kris, said she had just talked to grandma-to-be this morning. “I don’t think you’re supposed to [say],” Gifford warned Kourtney. “Your mother said not to say!”

But Kourtney flew in the face of her mom’s admonition and said, “It’s Scott. My ex-boyfriend. Who is now my boyfriend.”

The “Scott” in question is Scott Disick, who played a central part in much of the intrigue on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” during its two seasons on the air. The New York-based playboy had been in and out of Kourtney’s life, and her suspicions that he was seeing girls on the side so troubled Kourtney she sought counseling over it.

The pair split last January but has seen each other on occasion — which adds up, since Kourtney is due in December.

Surprise revelationScoops abounded in Kotb and Gifford’s Kardashian interview. Sitting alongside her sister, Khloe was taken aback when Kourtney described Disick as her “now boyfriend.”

“Is he?” Khloe said with bewilderment. “Have you talked about the title already?”

While Disick is often seen as the whipping boy on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Kourtney told Kotb and Gifford he’s been her knight in shining armor ever since she learned she was expecting.

“He’s very excited,” Kourtney gushed. “When I found out, I was so shocked I didn’t know what to do. I was so confused. But he was so for it and so excited from the beginning. We’re really happy.”

Still, learning she’s the first Kardashian gal to be in a family way put a bit of a damper on what was supposed to be a racy reality series. “Kourtney and KhloeTake Miami” centers on the sisters’ move to Miami as they navigate the trendy, backbiting social scene and open a new branch of their family clothing store, Dash.

Change of plans
The show began filming months ago, and Kourtney learned she was pregnant just days into filming. “It all happened in Miami,” she said. “We were going to go to Miami to, like, party. We were going to be these crazy single girls and have this experience, and it turned to something so unexpected.”

You could have excused Khloe Kardashian for feeling like chopped liver with her sister Kim, 28, gracing every magazine cover in the universe, and Kourtney now having her headline-grabbing baby news. But Khloe, who at 25 is the youngest of the trio, is trying to make her own waves, first enjoying a long run on last season’s “Celebrity Apprentice,” and now gracing the cover of Life & Style for shedding 20 pounds off her statuesque frame.

Working from lessons contained in sis Kim’s exercise video, Khloe said she dumped the weight in six weeks, and is aiming to tone up while losing five more pounds. The key to getting fit was getting up from the couch, she said.

“I just started working really hard,” Khloe told Kotb and Gifford. “I never liked the exercise stuff, but finally it was just like a way of life. I started changing.”

“Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami” premieres this Sunday at 10 p.m. ET on E!
