KLG on tweeting: 'It's not really me ... I have a dinosaur phone'

When Rupert Murdoch tweeted about the Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes split he didn't hold back, telling his Twitter followers to “watch Katie Holmes and Scientology story develop. Something creepy, maybe even evil, about these people.”

Murdoch faced significant backlash for his comments, and Hoda had some advice this morning for those who tweet: “Tweeting is dangerous,” she said. “You can tweet anything at any time.”

“Twitter is very knee-jerk," Hoda added. "You can tweet something and then wish you didn’t.” She also said she doesn’t like when she misspells in a tweet because she thinks it makes her “look like a dummy” (even though it's usually her iPhone to blame). Plus, she added, people will call her out for incorrect grammar.

“They spell grammar G-R-A-M-M-E-R,” KLG sniffed. “So it’s a war of idiots, really.”

Kathie Lee confessed that although tweets go out on her account, "you all know it’s not really me tweeting” (her assistant, Christine, tweets for her). Not one to juggle with an iPhone, KLG defended what she called her “dinosaur phone.”

TODAY.com contributor Jillian Eugenios admires the use of a dinosaur phone, especially if it has a very large antenna.
