Kirstie Alley is shedding some pounds again and feeling good about it, so she hopped on Twitter to give fans an update and share a cute pic in the process.
The 63-year-old actress said on Tuesday that she's down 20 pounds and "that's like losing 3 lemurs!" The odd equation comes from the fact that Alley takes care of a group of the primates at her home. She says she's had them for 30 years, spends $40,000 a year taking care of them, and that they're in her will.
It got us to thinking: what other animals might mathematically figure into Alley's weight-loss goals? She could tweet all summer if she equates 20 pounds to ...
- 12 chipmunks!
- 5 great horned owls!
- 3 or 4 chihuahuas!
- 1/50th of a horse!
- 10 blue crabs!
- 1/5 of a baby walrus!
After her first tweet, Alley wrote that she is on her way to a 30-pound loss, which she is achieving through the use of the Jenny Craig diet program. (Better throw in another lemur.)
On TODAY in April, Alley said, "I have an easy time gaining weight and I actually have an easy time losing weight. So if I just keep relatively active and follow some rules ... my problem is I don't have guidelines for myself."
