Earlier this month, Kim Kardashian posted a nude selfie to Instagram, sparking widespread controversy.
Celebrities, fans and critics alike quickly began weighing in on the post. Notably, Bette Midler criticized Kardashian, tweeting, "If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera."
The response from Midler prompted Kardashian to fire back with a tweet, and later, with a powerful body-positive essay.

But Kardashian wasn't the only one spreading a body-positive message throughout the ordeal — she also had plenty of supporters backing her up. "Modern Family" actress Ariel Winter was one celebrity who tweeted her support for the reality-TV star.

As it turns out, Kardashian noticed and appreciated Winter's positive messages.
She sent Winter a bouquet of white roses along with a note saying, "Hey I wanted you to know I saw your tweets last week and I really appreciate your support. Women supporting other women is so powerful."
