Khloe Kardashian has cleared up any confusion about what her marriage to Lamar Odom really means.

Odom suffered an overdose in October, and at the time, the former NBA star's marriage to Khloe Kardashian was just a technicality. They'd already signed their divorce papers months earlier, but due to a backlog in Los Angeles courts, a judge had yet to sign off on it. But following Odom's hospitalization, the couple requested the papers be withdrawn.

During a signing for her new book, "Strong Looks Better Naked," Kardashian told NBC News, "I'm still married for a multitude of reasons, but intimacy is not one of them."

Kardashian kept a bedside vigil during the first weeks after Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. But before the incident, she'd moved on to a new relationship with Houston Rockets player James Harden, and they're still together — which Odom knows.

As for what else he's aware of, Kardashian said that she ensures he's only getting uplifting news from the world outside while he recuperates.

"He's aware to a degree but he doesn't have social media; he doesn't have his cellphone; he doesn't watch the news or anything like that," she explained. "So he is aware from what I tell him or the messages that I give him — all positive and filtered things, of course."

But with a hint to his current condition, she added, "He also can't really digest all of that information right now."
