Khloe Kardashian has a new job, and it doesn't involve starring in one of her family's many "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" shows. The reality personality confirmed on her blog Tuesday that she'll be hosting "The X Factor" alongside Mario Lopez.

"I'm sure you've been hearing the rumors and I'm SO excited that I can finally confirm the news -- I am joining 'The X Factor' as co-host with Mario Lopez!!!!" she wrote. "I’m a huge fan of the show so I literally fell over in my chair when I heard that I was being considered for the role. The show already has such an incredible panel of judges and it is truly an honor to have been given this opportunity to work with them. I’m thrilled, overjoyed and of course a little nervous about this new step in my career, and I can’t wait to get started. Wish me luck!"

Fox also confirmed the news in a press release.

"The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out," said show creator and judge Simon Cowell in a statement. "Mario and Khloe are our hosts. They will debut on our first live show in November and I couldn't be happier."

Lopez, who also hosts "Extra," said he was excited to join the talent competition. "I love the show, and I’ve been a big fan of Simon Cowell and the judges for a long time," he said in a statement. "Khloe and I have been friends for years and I know we’ll be a great team and have a blast."

"The X Factor" is currently in its second season. At the end of its premiere season, the show fired host Steve Jones and judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul. Cowell and L.A. Reid retained their judging positions for the second season, and the show brought on Britney Spears and Demi Lovato to sit at the panel as well.

"The X Factor" airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox. The live episodes kick off on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 8 p.m.
