Katy Perry jumps into Twitter feud between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj

Three of music's leading ladies are making headlines, and it has very little to do with their hit songs.

It all started when Nicki Minaj voiced her displeasure over what she considered to be big snubs in the MTV Video Music Awards nominations. But since then, it's gotten personal.

When Minaj tweeted, "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year," it seemed obvious (given the nominees in that category) that she was talking about Taylor Swift's video for "Bad Blood."

Swift took exception to that, telling her pal, "It's unlike you to pit women against each other."

Now Katy Perry has jumped into the Twitter drama, too — apparently.

Without naming any pop star in particular, but offering up plenty of clues, Perry called the "pit women against other women" argument ironic coming from someone who allegedly capitalizes on "the [takedown] of a woman."

For those wondering what takedown she could possibly be talking about, this tidbit might help: It's been widely speculated that Swift's "Bad Blood" is a musical barb aimed at Perry.

Got it?

Well, got it for now? It seems likely that the drama is far from over.
