Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their kids have been living in Venice, Italy recently, and over the weekend, it looks like the Jolie-Pitts had a visitor: Jolie’s father Jon Voight.

Jolie and Voight have been estranged for the better part of a decade, and sources are saying the father and daughter have reconciled. A photo taken in Venice showed Jolie and Voight together, along with Pitt and their oldest daughter, Zahara.

Pitt played a big part in bringing the father and daughter back together, according to a source close to the couple. “Since (Pitt and Jolie) have been together, Brad has been encouraging Angie to smooth things over with her dad,” the source said. “And when it comes to the kids, Brad wants them to know their grandfather the way the kids know his parents.”

The family has been in Venice while Jolie prepares to shoot “The Tourist,” opposite Johnny Depp.

Betty White on ‘SNL’ might happenA grassroots campaign to get Betty White to host “Saturday Night Live” might actually be working. More than 421,000 people have joined the Facebook group “Betty White to host SNL (please?)!” and Lorne Michaels might be listening, according to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello.

He writes, “I hear SNL is putting together a ‘Women of Comedy’ episode that would team the former Rose Nylund with several of her younger contemporaries. Ex-SNL MVP Molly Shannon is on board, I hear, and feelers have also been put out to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.”

Reps for the show don’t comment on guests until they’re formally announced, but the plan, if it comes together, is a good one. The show would make a lot of White fans happy, and she wouldn’t have to shoulder the burden of having to carry the entire show.

'Little Couple' back for third season
Tuesday is the season finale of the TLC’s “The Little Couple,” but the story of Dr. Jen Arnold and Bill Klein, who are both under four-feet tall, will continue. The network has ordered a third season, which will begin taping in March or April. One thing Arnold wants fans of the show to know before taping gets underway, is that she’s aware of the fans’ support. “Right now I’ve got over 500 emails and more fan mail. I want everyone to know how much we appreciate everyone’s support. I feel horrible because I do want to respond to every one. We’re really happy to have the opportunity to have some impact, whether it be little or small,” Arnold said via phone. She and Klein also gave some hints about what we might expect from season three—check back tomorrow for details.

Opening the ‘Shutter’Actor-director team Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese had their best opening ever over the weekend — “Shutter Island” raked in $40.2 million.

This is the fourth time Scorsese and DiCaprio have paired up; their last opening was 2006's “The Departed,” which had a $30.1 million opening.

“Shutter Island” was supposed to open last October but the studio, Paramount, pulled it from the schedule just weeks before the opening.
