Let's face it, when anyone becomes a great-grandmother, it's a huge deal. But the meeting of John Legend's grandmother and his baby daughter, Luna Simone, is a particularly adorable and welcome sight on our Instagram feeds.
Believe it or not, Legend actually learned how to play piano from his grandma as a boy growing up in Springfield, Ohio, so we can't even imagine the bond felt between her and the now-famous 37-year-old Grammy winner.
“Granny came from Ohio to meet Luna today,” he wrote in the caption of the adorable Instagram post showing his grandma with her great-granddaughter resting in her arms.
This isn't the first time Legend's experience with fatherhood made headlines.

During a recent visit to TODAY, he explained why he had such a hard time accepting those who have criticized wife Chrissy Teigen about going out shortly after giving birth.
"If you're saying she's a terrible parent for leaving the child at home — and she's not, obviously — but if you're going to say it to her, then say it to me, too," he said.
"You know, every once in a while, you have to take care of yourselves as a couple," he continued.
Teigen also took to Instagram to share a video of Luna appearing to "dance" to her dad's songs.
Surrounded as she is by generations of love and good music, we can't imagine this little girl having anything but a beautiful upbringing.
