Watch out: The Governator -- that is, Arnold Schwarzenegger -- will be blasting his way onto bookshelves in October with his memoir "Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story." And some late-night talk show hosts (hello, Jimmy Kimmel) are a little excited about the prospect.
So much so that the minds at "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" put together a short video package with two distinct Ahnold elements.
First, there was a home-made video of Schwarzenegger making a voice mail message for a lucky competition winner named Tyler Baker. The message feels like a mash-up of the actor's greatest hits -- and the best part is he has a prop gun on hand to make the "locked-and-loaded" sound. At least, it looks like a prop.
"Get to the chopper!" shouts the former governor of California. He "loads" the gun, and eventually ends the message with: "(If) you screw it up, you’ll be the next victim of the Predator. Hasta la vista, baby.”
The most astounding thing about the message to Kimmel is not the content, it's the length. "If I call you and have to sit through 30 seconds of Arnold Schwarzenegger, not only will I never call you again, I’ll probably key your car on the way out," he told his audience.
Next up was Schwarzenegger's trailer for his book, in which a camera spins around him while he promotes his life story. "If my life was a movie, no one would believe it," he says. "But this story you know. So are you ready for the story you don't?"
Cut to: Copy of the book cover -- with a faked name that's unprintable here, and largely pixelated out on the show.
"That's going to be the best book on tape ever," said Kimmel.
