Country singer Jewel and her husband Ty Murray welcomed their new son Monday evening, their rep tells People. Kase Townes Murray arrived at 7 p.m. CST and weighed in at 7 lbs., 6 oz.
“Ty and I are so pleased to welcome our new baby boy into the world,” Jewel told People. “We are overcome with happiness -- it really is as great as everyone told us it would be -- better even!”
It's been a busy spate of days for celebrity baby births: On Sunday Victoria and David Beckham had their daughter Harper, and on July 9 Kate Hudson and Matthew Bellamy's son was born, though the couple haven't yet settled on a name.
