It seems each week the cast of "The Biggest Loser" sees another shakeup to the game, and this week was no exception. After going from pairs to teams and enduring twists that swapped players and even trainers, the remaining losers are now singles – playing their own game.
Well, sort of.
While the red and black teams are now a thing of the past, the loyalties that spanned both teams haven't changed. So that alliance Conda had with everyone in the house sans Kim and Emily (and presumably Chris)? It's still going strong. And for some reason, that's a problem for Kim.
Last week Kim blasted Conda's gang for giving Cassandra the boot, but "Loser" fans with a good memory surely recall that Kim and Conda were once very close. The two certainly appeared to bond when they were bashing Adrian together a few weeks back. Now Kim seems to care only about her in-game BFF Emily. And all of that made the events of the most recent challenge all the more confusing.
The contestants were tethered together in an ice rink and each had to pull against the crowd to hit their own button. The order in which they hit their buttons was important, as one of those tricky White Elephant prize swaps was on the line. One by one, the alliance members made it, starting with Jeremy (who got a big hand from Conda). Kim grew angrier as the players helped each other rather than putting up a fight.
"Oh, that's just great," she vented to the camera. "Doesn't that feel good that you have to have everyone help you to win?"
Of course, later in the game, she didn't complain when Emily lent her a hand against Kimmy.
In the end, even players at the back of the pack got a prize, but as is always the case with a White Elephant swap, some walked away with better prizes than others. While Buddy had a "Biggest Loser" baseball cap and Kim had a box of chocolates (talk about a cruel prize), Megan swapped her way to a one-pound advantage and Jeremy won a shopping trip with a celebrity (and a player of his choice) -- a prize he surrendered to his sister.
And who did Conda take with her? Kim. There's just no figuring out those two.
The pair met up with the celeb, who turned out to be singer, actress and "Fashion Star" mentor Jessica Simpson. They had fun trying on fashions from her L.A. showroom -- a lot of fun since they were allowed to keep anything they wanted.
But the good times lasted only so long. Soon enough, they were back on the ranch and headed back to the scales with the rest of the competition, where it soon became clear that it was a good thing Kim bonded with Conda again. Her BFF Emily fell below the yellow line with Kimmy -- and she never stood a chance.
Of course, with Emily gone and the yellow line back in force, there's a chance the alliance will soon have to turn on its own. That's bound to be must-see TV.
