Jenny Slate's Web series, "Marcel the Shell With Shoes On," is an absolute hit. The latest installment, which debuted on YouTube Monday, has already raked in over 2 million views. But while the public can't seem to get enough of the wee character, there's one person who's had his fill of Marcel privately.

During a Friday visit to TODAY, Slate revealed that her series co-creator, husband Dean Fleischer-Camp, has put a moratorium on Marcel when it comes to the bedroom.

"I'm not allowed to use the Marcel voice in romantic encounters," the "Saturday Night Live" alum admitted. "I think one time I might have been like, 'You're a great kisser,' or whatever."

Hubby's reaction? "Get out of here!"

Fleischer-Camp had an ally in TODAY's Al Roker, who was certain Marcel's tiny tone would "spoil the mood."

Check out the full clip for more Marcel details, including where the idea for the diminutive character originally came from. And don't miss the latest adventure from everyone's favorite shod shell.

Slate and Fleischer-Camp's new Marcel the Shell book, "The Most Surprised I've Ever Been," is in bookstores now.
