Jared Leto Instagrams his mom's reaction to Oscar invite
Jared Leto is a rocker, Oscar-nominated actor and apparently, a sweet son. On Monday, the "Dallas Buyers Club" star asked his mother, Constance, to attend Sunday's Academy Awards with him. Her reaction? Priceless.
Leto let his fans and the Internet in on that excited reaction by posting a photo on social media of his mom grinning ear-to-ear, with an inset of himself and his brother (and fellow Thirty Seconds to Mars bandmate) Shannon and the words, "My mothers face when @shannonleto and I told her she was coming to the #Oscars with us!" The conversation, and the picture, were taken during a FaceTime chat.

And on TODAY Wednesday, Carson Daly made sure to show off the FaceTime snap in the Orange Room, noting that Leto could have the "pick of the litter" as far as a date for the big night, but that picking his mom instead was "cute."
This won't be Constance's first big awards show — Leto took her to the Screen Actors Guild Awards in January.
But c'mon, this is the Oscars! It will be a night to remember for the pair. And perhaps Leto will share his mom's reaction again should he win the statuette for best supporting actor. After all, he's no stranger to social media.
The 86th Academy Awards air Sunday night on ABC.
