In her revealing interview with TODAY's Meredith Vieira, Janet Jackson opens up about her struggles with her body image, and the pain that came along with developing "at a very, very young age."

Jackson told Vieira, "I started getting breasts when I was 10, and to make me look more flat chested (on the set of her show 'Good Times') they would bind my chest. Immediately, it says OK, the way you are, you're not good enough. And that affected me at 10 years old." Jackson also said that she was urged to go on a diet at that young age, too.

Questions about Jackson's image remain. Most recently, questions about cutting her hair short have been at the forefront. "It was liberating," she told Vieira. "(But) this isn't the first time I've cut my hair."
