Jane Lynch reveals New Year's resolution: 'I am not going to start a diet'
"Glee" star Jane Lynch knows what she's doing Tuesday night: Hosting "New Year's Eve with Carson Daly" live from New York's Times Square. And, because she's organized, she also knows what resolution she's planning to keep starting New Year's Day.
"You know what I'm going to do in 2014 is every day I wake up, I am not going to start a diet," said Lynch during a visit to TODAY Tuesday morning. "I do it every day — and I realized for like the last 40 years I wake up in the morning and I go, 'OK, I won't have any carbs in the morning. I'll have some in the afternoon.' I'm not going to do it any more and see if I balloon."
Meanwhile, fans who tune in to watch Lynch Tuesday night shouldn't worry about her other comforts: In addition to the basket of keep-warm goodies TODAY gave her, she revealed a secret of outdoor TV hosting. "We actually have a heater blowing on us," she said.

Daly tried to shush her. "Don't say that!" he said quickly. "We need the sympathy."
"Our trade secret!" said Lynch.
