Jamie Lynn Spears is hoping to storm back into America's consciousness thanks to a new country album, but a video from a performance Thursday night shows that she knows why we pay attention: she's still Britney's little sister.

During a gig at Eddie's Attic in Decatur, Ga., Jamie Lynn was performing a song called "Ms. Mississippi" when, about 2 minutes in, she transitioned into a cover of Britney's "Oops! ... I Did It Again."

She may not have been on Mars in a red jumpsuit, but Jamie Lynn doing the intro lyric "Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah" and flipping her hair to the side elicited the loudest cheer from the Georgia crowd. She clearly felt the energy level go up in the club and smiled as she continued to sing the song. Jamie Lynn even busted out Britney's beating-heart dance gesture during the "not that innocent" lyric.

"You gotta throw it back to your sister at some point, right?" Jamie Lynn said after the song ended. "My sister's been a big influence on my life, so ... a big round of applause for my sister."

Jamie Lynn was the teen star of Nickelodeon's "Zoey 101" before announcing in 2007, at age 16, that she was pregnant. Now 22, she is mom to 5-year-old Maddie. In a new interview with Billboard, Jamie Lynn spoke about her new country single ("How Could I Want More") and album and her connection to that genre.

She also told Billboard that there is no rivalry with her big sis (who has her own new album, "Britney Jean," and begins a 2-year residency in Las Vegas on Dec. 27).

"You have to remember that we are 10 years apart, so I always saw her as a second mom," Jamie Lynn said. "We have fun like only sisters can, but we don't have that young sibling rivalry."
