Reality TV better watch out, because Honey Boo Boo Child and her family debut this week in their very own TLC series – will reality TV ever be the same?!?!
“Toddlers & Tiaras” breakout star Alana Thompson and her family (mom June, dad Sugar Bear, 12-year-old sister Lauryn “Pumpkin,” 15-year-old sister Jessica “Chubbs,” and 17-year-old pregnant sister Anna “Chickadee”) make their debut this Wednesday. Access Hollywood took young Alana and June out for tea at New York City’s Alice’s Tea Cup on Tuesday – something that the Go-Go Juice-drinking child beauty queen didn’t love at first.
“Too fancy for rednecks!” Alana cried out at the sight of some of Alice’s Tea Cup’s tasty delicacies.
It wasn’t long before the 6-year-old began chatting about some of her favorite (and not so favorite) Hollywood stars.
“I like ‘Sponge Bob,’ ” Alana told Access.
“You like Justin Bieber?” June asked her daughter.
“No, I hate him!” the child reality star exclaimed.
Later Alana explained that she was however a fan of “Justin Beaver,” presumably referring to the pop star.
In addition to Justin Bieber (and Beaver), Alana loves Taylor Swift and Nickelodeon’s “iCarly” and “How to Rock.”
Beyond pageants and reality TV, the young star has her sights set on a slew of future career choices.
“When I grow up I want to be nurse, a doctor, a momma, a teacher, I want to go college, I want to be a hair-styler,” she told Access, and then added to her list of possible careers. “I want to work Wal-Mart, I want to work at McDonalds – so I can eat all the chicken nuggets and I want to work at Chick-fil A ... I got 10 things to do, 10 jobs!”
Honey Boo Boo – who is known for quotable gems like, “a dolla make me holla” – gave Access a preview of one of her new expressions.
“You better redneck-cognize! Peace, deuces!” the young star snapped.
Catch Alana and the rest of the Honey Boo Boo clan on the one-hour premiere of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” on Aug. 8 at 10 p.m. on TLC.
