Brooke Shields and Katie Holmes are wearing the same signs of love.
After giving birth in the same hospital on the same day, the mother of Tom Cruise’s child and his target of a much-discussed on air attack are — in a weird coincidence — wearing identical Cartier Love bracelets. Cruise bought his sweetie one as a Mother’s Day gift, according to a source. “She was spotted wearing the bracelet at her first public appearance since the arrival of [daughter] Suri at the L.A. ‘Mission: Impossible 3’ premiere,” a source tells the Scoop. “Since then, it appears Katie hasn’t taken Tom’s token of love off her wrist.”
Shields has worn the bracelet a little longer. “I doubt Britney [Spears] will get any such item from her hubby,” quips the source, “but I guess a gal can dream!”
Animal-friendly Hilton?Has Paris Hilton succumbed to PETA’s anti-fur campaign? The partying heiress was so notorious for wearing fur that she landed on the animal rights group’s worst-dressed list, and was pelted by protestors in London. Now, a source says, she is telling pals she’s had enough and is ditching her mink coats, fox collars and chinchilla trim.
The reason, however, isn’t entirely fear of another attack. The tipping point apparently came when Paris watched Heather Mills McCartney’s gruesome exposé of the Chinese fur trade on PETATV.com, says the insider, who adds that she told longtime fur foe Pam Anderson she wants to be a public turncoat and speak up for the fury fashion victims. PETA is hopeful, but is taking a wait-and-see approach before inviting her to be the next “Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” model. “Paris wrote in her book that she loves animals and wears only fake fur and then showed up at a party looking like Bigfoot in a real fur outfit,” says the source. “It could be that she really didn’t know what she was wearing and needs to send a memo to her stylists so that her ethics match her outfit.”

Val Kilmer hitched a ride with a complete stranger to go to a strip club. Kilmer, who’s starring in “The Postman Always Rings Twice” on stage in London, was impatiently waiting for a car service, but apparently, couldn’t stand to wait any longer. “It was totally bizarre,” a source told the London Mirror. “He approached a complete stranger who had parked his car outside the theater for a quick cigarette. He said to him: ‘I’m Val Kilmer — can you take me to Stringfellows?’ And the bloke obliged! Val jumped in and headed off.” . . . Washed-up boxer Mike Tyson wants to perform with Brit pop band Westlife, according to the London Sun. “This sounds really interesting,” the group’s rep told the paper. The band are all fans of Tyson.” . . . Look out Nostradamus. Britney Spears also has the gift of prophesy. “I wrote this song [“Someday”] at my piano, at my house. I wrote it two weeks before I found out that I was pregnant, so it was really kind of weird, because the song’s about having a baby... and it’s something that I’d been dreaming about for a while. It’s kind of like a prophecy,” she said, reports Ananova. “Everyone in general should voice their wishes more, because I think the more you throw it out to the universe, if you’re in the right space and place in your life, it’s weird how the universe gives it back to you.”
