This morning, Hoda introduced us to Meow, one hefty cat who's taking the Internet by storm.

Meow arrived at a Santa Fe animal shelter weighing in at almost FORTY POUNDS. Meow's handler explained that Meow was brought in being way overfed a diet of unhealthy foods. They put Meow on the ground to demonstrate that he can indeed walk (he's on the "Catkins" diet — a high protein low carb diet), but he just kinda sat there, like…well, a 39-pound cat. Guest host Willie Geist suggested that he try Joy's Fit club, and Hoda lamented that he'd been trotted out next to a thin cat earlier in the day. Poor Meow!

Strange, for sure, but don't you think he looked a little…familiar? We've seen cats who look like rapper Drake and "Parks and Recreation" character Ron Swanson…but as avid fans of "The Voice," we couldn't help but notice Meow's odd resemblance to the most feline judge. What do you think? Do you see it?

Julieanne Smolinski is a TODAY.com contributor. She is happy Meow is on a diet but sad that he will one day be less giant.
