Last month, after Hoda wore a striped dress on the show, a fan wrote in to say how much she liked it. Little did she know, Hoda was looking to trade!
So she sent TODAY superfan Terry Tannen the dress, a striped number that Hoda's mom picked out for her at Anthropologie. In return, she got a glamorous black dress from Terry, which she showed off on the show Thursday.
The ladies asked Terry to join by Skype this morning, and it turns out Hoda's dress is working out really well for her - she's already worn it to a number of occasions, including her own birthday.
"I love it!" she told Hoda.
"It's kind of like a t-shirt," said Hoda. "A little bit comfy, cozy. It just wraps your whole body."
Then it was KLG's turn to break the news: Hoda wanted to keep Terry's dress! "It looks smashing on her!" she said.
And Hoda joked that she was going to come and raid the rest of Terry's clothes. "I want to go to your closet," she joked.
"I don't have a lot in my closet!" Terry laughed.
Hoda looked mortified, and quickly retracted. "We're going to send you this dress back!" she cried.
Kathie Lee shook her head. "We're going to send you something," she promised.
