When the TODAY crew threw a baby shower for correspondent Jenna Bush Hager, KLG had the perfect present ready. Hoda, not so much.
The guests were asked to bring Jenna a favorite children's book as a gift, which was easy for KLG because she has a stack of ones she's written at home. Hoda has also written books, but not really ones that babies can appreciate fully. Thankfully, Hoda does have a niece, and was able to improvise.
She admitted that the Dr. Seuss work she ended up bringing Jenna wasn't so much her "favorite book" as a book that happened to be there at the time.
"I was running out of my apartment and of course I didn't have anything," she shrugged. But her niece Hannah had left the Seuss behind at her place, and so Seuss it was.
What would she'd have chosen if she'd had the time to hit a book store? "Curious George." Sorry, KLG.
