New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner is under fire for allegedly sexting yet another woman while married to his wife of three years, Huma Abedin. And it was Huma that Hoda Kotb and guest co-host Carson Daly were most concerned about on Wednesday morning.
“Let's talk about that speech she gave yesterday,” Carson said. “I wondered what women across the country thought of it. Because standing by your man is one thing, but falling on the sword is something else. That seemed like an incredible thing that she did.”
“She looked really in pain,” Hoda said.
“And does it stop here? Or is there more in the future?” Carson said of Weiner's actions, before answering his own question. “There's definitely going to be more. The answer is 'yes.'”
At least we have Hoda and Carson to brighten up a sad situation. One surefire way to make the day better, at least according to Carson: Read Anthony Weiner's now public sexts by replacing every naughty word with “Roker.”
We'll let you watch the bit for yourself, but suffice it to say, a laugh-crying Hoda yelled, "No! Stop!" before Carson grabbed the printout of the texts.
“That's a good read. I'll take that,” he said. “Someone's got to fly back to LA today.”
