Hollywood’s best and brightest graced the red carpet on Monday night for the 63rd Annual Golden Globes.

Among those who were in attendance was Hilary Swank, who last week announced that she and husband Chad Lowe were separating after more than eight years of marriage.

As Hilary made her way down the red carpet, she stopped to talk openly with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush about the split.

“Did you go to every length to try and save the marriage before the separation?” Billy asked Hilary, who was at the Globes to present the award for Best Actor in a Drama film (won by Phillip Seymour Hoffman for his role in “Capote”).

“Yes, absolutely. Absolutely,” Hilary said. “And we’re still trying to save it. It’s not over. We’re not divorced. We’ve been together for over 13 years and there’s a lot of love there.”

“You’re still wearing your wedding ring, which I think is special,” Billy noted.

“Absolutely. We’re still married,” she said.

When the couple announced their separation on January 9, Swank’s manager released the following statement to Access Hollywood:

“Hilary and Chad have decided to separate, but they are hopeful they’ll be able to get through this tough time.”

Swank, 31, and Lowe, 38, were married on Sept. 28, 1997. They have no children.

Hilary took home the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama in 2005 for her role in Clint Eastwood’s “Million Dollar Baby.”
