British crooner Sam Smith may not be a household name in the U.S. yet, but just wait: His cover of Whitney Houston's hit "How Will I Know" is changing that, one tear at a time.
Houston hit No. 1 in 1986 with the bouncing, super-cheery dance tune, but Smith's version — an in-studio take released by SiriusXM Friday — puts a new, heartfelt spin on it. The video has already racked up over 775,000 views on YouTube, and should drive even the most Grinchy listener to tears.
(Eagle-eared "Grey's Anatomy" viewers will have already heard a small piece of it on the show recently.)
