Giuliana and Bill Rancic have visited TODAY many times over the last couple of years -- sometimes to discuss the fertility challenges they've been through, sometimes to discuss her battle with breast cancer. But on Monday morning, they're reason for stopping by was a happy occasion -- the TV debut of their 10-month-old son, Duke.

"He's such a good baby, such a cutie pie," the proud mom said as the son she calls a "miracle" baby sat by her side. "He's been up a couple of hours, and he's having fun. He's a great kid."

And he's a kid who's about to make another TV debut -- his first time in prime time. Duke will star alongside mom and dad in their reality series "Giuliana & Bill."

"No agent (for him) yet, but he's definitely in this new season that starts tomorrow, and we went back and forth about that," Giuliana explained. "We didn't know … if we were even going to put him on the show. But we felt like people have been through this major journey with us, through infertility and the breast cancer, and then to say, 'You know what? You can't meet our baby.' … It just felt wrong."

But don't get too used to Duke on the show.

"It's not going to be a long-term venture for him," Bill inisted. "This will be it. He'll do one season -- two seasons maybe, and that's it. Long term, we're going to raise him in Chicago, he's going to go to school in Chicago, and he's going to be out of the LA/Hollywood scene."

"You how some Hollywood parents go, 'Oh, I'm going to leave it up to my kid, if they want to get into acting'?" Giulianna added. "We're like, 'No!' Not happening."

At least it's not happening any time soon.

"Here's the deal: If he goes to medical school or law school, then he can do whatever he wants after he has the degree," Duke's dad said with a smile.

The new season of "Giuliana & Bill" premieres Tuesday night at 8 p.m. on the Style Network.
