"Boy Meets World" fans are already in an anticipatory tizzy for the sequel to the popular 1990s show to premiere, and on Tuesday, Disney Channel gave them one more reason to be thrilled about "Girl Meets World's" debut: Rider Strong's Shawn Hunter is back!

A new photo the network posted on its Instagram account revealed who else — besides Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel reprising their roles as Cory and Topanga — from the "Boy" cast would be back, and that includes the people closest to Cory: Strong as his BFF, William Russ as dad Alan and Betsy Randle as mom Amy.

"It's like time travel," Strong told The Hollywood Reporter of reprising his role. "I get to go back to high school, but now I have a clue of what's going on."

According to THR, the dinner-table scene was filmed for a holiday-themed episode, which taped Tuesday.

Fishel also posted the photo on her Instagram account and added, "Happy to have these familiar faces on set with us this week!"

The original "Boy Meets World" series ran for seven seasons on ABC.

Strong wasn't originally set to appear in the show. In late 2012 he told Entertainment Weekly that "I have no official involvement in 'Girl Meets World.'"

"Girl Meets World" is set to start airing on the Disney Channel later this year.
