Britney Spears’ television resume may contain at least one glaringly painful reality TV entry ("Britney & Kevin: Chaotic"), but she’s also appeared on a couple of comedies: "Glee" and "How I Met Your Mother," playing herself in the first and a receptionist at a doctor’s office in the second.

So what show does the recently engaged pop next want to appear on? The awards-darling comedy "Modern Family," of course.

It all started with a simple tweet from the princess of pop. “I know everybody is excited about the Super Bowl, but I personally can’t wait to see the next episode of 'Modern Family!' Funniest show on TV,” she wrote on Tuesday.

But the fire spread when "Modern Family’s" Sofia Vergara retweeted Spears’ tweet. Then, Spears’ manager got fans riled up by writing “@BritneySpears on 'Modern Family?' What do you guys think?”

Thus, the tag #GetBritneyOnModernFamily was born. “I would love to be on it!” Spears wrote after the tag took off in the Twitterverse.

Nothing has been confirmed by Spears or ABC, of course, so as of right now it’s just a Twitter dream fueled by fans.

"Modern Family" took home the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy for the second year in a row on Jan. 29. The cast also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy in 2012.
