For those who believe the apocalypse is coming, it's never too early to start preparing. TLC's new one-hour special, "Livin' for the Apocalypse," shows how some are getting ready for the end of mankind so that they have a shot at surviving.
"In 2012, I really feel that life as we know is gonna come to an end," said subject Gidget Rose in an exclusive clip TLC provided to TODAY.com. "So we're gonna be prepared for whatever happens, whether it be economical, whether it be war, rioting in the streets or--"
"Zombies," chimed in her roommate Jackie.

But adults aren't the only ones who are training and preparing for the end of the world. One family -- with kids ages 2 and 5 -- is making sure the little ones are ready to get suited up at a moment's notice:
