'Entourage' star Kevin Connolly breaks leg catching pass from Seahawks QB
Kevin Connolly, one of the stars of the upcoming "Entourage" movie, is nursing a broken leg after getting hurt while filming a scene with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson last week.
Connolly, who stars as Eric Murphy in the film, shared a picture of himself icing his propped-up leg as the Super Bowl champ stood over him.
Deadline reported Monday that Connolly broke his leg in two places while cameras were rolling.
Director Doug Ellin, who also created the original HBO series, made sure to let everyone know that Connolly in fact caught the pass from Wilson, who has a cameo in the film.
And the Seahawks star gave a shout-out to the 40-year-old actor on Instagram, where he shared the same photo as Connolly, who he said was "banged up after running a perfect post route. When he gets healthy watch out Wes Welker! #ARealHeartGuy #WhiteLightning."
Connolly posted a photo of his bruised and swollen lower leg on Instagram, and another image showed him standing on crutches alongside actor Gary Busey.
An earlier photo, which Connolly called "a framer" in a tweet, included the actor with Wilson, Ellin and Mark Wahlberg.
"Entourage," also starring Adrian Grenier (Vincent Chase), Kevin Dillon (Johnny "Drama" Chase), Jerry Ferrera (Turtle) and Jeremy Piven (Ari Gold) among others, ran for eight seasons on HBO.
The film is due in theaters on June 12.
